What a fantastically eclectic rock album. With an obvious range of inspiration, Jack White has released the perfect debut solo record with “Blunderbuss”. It has flown to number one on the UK record charts, overtaking Adele’s “21” - finally.

I like The White Stripes, and I confess, I have not really engrossed myself in White’s side-projects like The Raconteurs or The Dead Weather, but this album is great. He has drawn on classic seventies rock to create thirteen tracks with pumping electric guitar lines, soft acoustic numbers, beautiful piano solos (Brooke Waggoner on keys), and a general different listening experience.

Delta Goodrem has been accused of plagiarizing the Arcade Fire song Rebellion (Lies) with her track Sitting on Top of the World.

I honestly do not believe Arcade Fire would give two shits about Delta Goodrem, slash even know who she is. Maybe someone should send them a copy of her record so they can listen to it while the relax around their Canadian mansions.

“Delta is original and wouldn’t steal an idea, she’s too talented to do that.” - please note the quotations. I did not write this…nor do I agree with a single thing it stands for.
